Locations: Montgomery, NY and Fishkill, NY

Position Overview:

This internship opportunity provides hands-on experience in various aspects of accounting and offers valuable insights into the workings of a professional accounting firm. As an Accounting Intern, you will work closely with our experienced professionals, gaining practical skills and knowledge that will be beneficial for your future career in accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in daily bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Support the preparation of financial statements, reports, and other financial documents.
• Aid in the processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Collaborate with team members on special projects and assignments as needed.
• Maintain organized and accurate records of financial transactions and documents.
• Provide administrative support to the accounting department as required.

Qualifications:

• Be a self starter: a person who can work effectively without regularly needing instruction on what to do
• Pursuing an associates or bachelor's degree in accounting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Eagerness to learn and develop skills in accounting.
• Prior accounting or finance internship experience is a plus but not required.
