Position Overview:
The bookkeeper will be responsible for accurately maintaining financial records and performing various accounting tasks to support our clients' needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, billing, and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions on a regular basis.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
- Prepare and process payroll for clients, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Generate financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to address accounting-related inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Be a self starter: a person who can work effectively without regularly needing instruction on what to do
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience working as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, Xero, or FreshBooks.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
